Task 2
In order to produce an effective story opening consist of
a creative story plot.Therefoe I have researched 5 weird and wacky stories that
actually happened around the world.
This will benefit of gaining the idea of how I can consume
any type of story idea and expand this into a more creative and imaginative
film that will bring amazement for the audience expectations. Each wacky story
chosen will present the activity that actually happen in real life and I will
be presenting my own modifications of these wacky stories into my own film
vision aspect.
Pain in the neck (News)
Phillip Loveday, a former
soldier was playing rugby for the Army, when a 22 stone opposing player
came crashing down on him.
It was only when Mr Loveday, aged 59, went to hospital after dislocating his shoulder, that it was then discovered he had a fracture of his C3 vertebra!

Scenario cases
I believe that this story may be
a viewed as a film where it involves conflict, depression, revenge and
jealousy. In my own vision these genre will be a great component of producing
this story as a film. This film can be a more family type film more suitable
for elderly people since it includes an old man aged 59 who was a former
soldier for the army.
The genres obviously match the
story plot and also create many examples of situations that can occur. Each
example represents scenario cases that can happen with the following genres.
I believe that conflict can be
involved with this story plot as the 59 year old man may have had ‘heat’
against the man who injured him. This can present with the hatred past that they
had against each other and can present the situation of how the conflict
actually started.
Depression is also a key element
as you know the 59 year old man is paralyzed and is not able to do anything he
wishes to do. This is an effective way of presenting a sad moment of the story
plot.
Revenge is an element involving
the man injuring the 59 year old probably because of a situation that happened
between their past that might of been very crucial. Therefore this will be the
motivation of the man.
Cinematography
I have many ideas of how I can
use this short story into presenting as a film:
1.
The story could start
of as a short montage of Phillip in his war days with the 22 stone man as his
team partner and of course Phillip may have won a outrageous war with the help
of the 22 stone man leading to him being awarded for his bravery but not the 22
stone man because he wasn’t mentioned by Phillip as he committed that no one
helped him.
2.
The film then leads to
22 years later where Philip is now 59 years old and still have the reputation
of bravery in which presents him as very big headed. We then come across the
facial expression of the 22 stone man in his 50s feeling very depressed and of
course lonely as usually not being praised at all of all his support.
3.
Then it leads to the
Phillip playing rugby with his old colleague from his training camp including
the 22 stone man
4.
The 22 stone man sees
Phillip and builds up his anger involving with flashbacks of him being awarded
and enjoying his life.
5.
This then leads to the
22 stone man rugby tackling Phillip in his full rage in which Phillip is
injured and crying for help as he’s not able to breath.
6.
The 22 stone man then
realises his mistakes and runs off as everyone crowds around Phillip
7.
Phillip is taken into
hospital and being checked and presents snapshots of his spinal cord.
8.
Then presents where
the 22 stone man is about to visit Phillip holding gifts and then sees Phillip
in a wheel chair
9.
This then leads to
present the facial expression of the 22 stone mans face as very shocked and
guilty.

over Facebook comments, police say
Police have arrested a 46-year-old woman they
say choked a teen boy in the middle of Tyrone Square Mall because he had posted
comments on Facebook that upset her daughter.
Story idea
This already seems like a
comedy type of film viewing that the young teen boy was strangled by an old
women. However this can also refer to a serious type of film may not be
suitable for kids but more suitable for teenagers and adults referring to the
affection of cyber bullying. This category can come across a situation why the
mother was very furious over the teen boy because in today’s aspect social
network is the most popular uses of the internet industry, where many people
can socialize and communicate on the web, but this can create a drawback for
many people where nowadays bullying has become a simple task for everyone.
This is an fantastic way of
developing this idea into a film vision aspect suited for a teenage group
audience because many teenagers have facebook and cyber bullying is mostly
effected worldwide, also it would be a great dramatic situation where the mother
finds out and attacks the young teenager which would be very hilarious but in
some cases can create a serious moment.
This story plot can refer to
many teenage films such as Kidulthood where it does include bullying occurring
and also other films such as fall out. Both films create a serious moment
however the story plot should be more uplifted in some cases a creates a
mixture of comedy and thriller.
Cinematography
1.
The film begins with the daughter who is 16 years old studying her a levels
in college and of course she is very lonely and humble presented as a short
montage.
2.
Presenting a group of other teenagers gossiping and laughing at the girl
and of course the teenager boy is the one who bullies her
3.
The teenager boy does many harsh actions to the girl in which he terrorizes
her everyday at college. Presents a scene where he threatens her not to tell
her parents.
4.
The girl hides away her innocent face as she gets dropped off at home
5.
The girl goes to her room and views her facebook page, plays her music very
loud which then becomes as a background music
6.
Presentation of her facebook pages and viewing many harsh comments on her
facebook page
7.
Parents are very concerned and fed up of the music and tells their daughter
to turn it off however the daughter doesn’t turn it off for a while which makes
the parents very concerned
8.
Jumps into a shot of the door being knocked down and present the young girl
being hanged as the music tone decreases
I used the similar
ideas from the film kidulthood where a young girl hangs herself because she was
bullied however I modified this particular scene into a plot where a young girl
was bullied because of her facebook page and her personality which may effect
this situation to happen. It seems very depressing and very sudden because I
want to present the cause of bullying in where it leads to.

Story idea opinion
This would be an interesting story that can be referred to
a fantasy film. Of course this will be related to films such as free Wiley, Alvin and the chipmunk, Garfield
Cinematography/Scenario cases
The bear could be
an animal that escapes the zoo after being tortured and terrorised however
meets a young boy who helps him and keeps him in his stable which explains that
his parents own a farm. The bear has a power to speak to the young boy and
becomes very friendly with him. Later presents the news where the bear is now
wanted and they ask the people to find the bear in order to receive a large
salary. The parents realises that the young boy is keeping the bear but the
young boy informs them about the situation. Someone finds out about the bear
hiding in the child’s stable and tells the police. This leads to the bear
escaping and of course comes across a situation where an officer shot the bear
because he was attacking the people that tried to take him down.

Story idea opinion
This news is very bizarre but amazing of how someone can
get a free travel to Rome
Another story idea which I could relate to apart from the
physic power strategy is to present a young boy who is a trouble maker for
example referring to Dennis the menace or home alone. The story could present
where him and his family are about to go to a holiday to another country such
as Spain.However the young boy might of come across a situation of him
accidentally entering the wrong plane and then his parents realises that their
son is gone. Later on the young boy manages to live and get familiar with
himself in Rome but a cross with two thugs
that sees the luxury of the boy and attempts to kidnap him sot therefore this
is more related to the film home alone.
